Zen Meditation: Illusions

Meditation Assignment:

  1. Grab pillow.
  2. Sit or lay.
  3. Relax.
  4. Regulate breathing.
  5. Focus:  Life is an illusion even though we try to convince ourselves otherwise.  There have been many times when I thought a bad thing had happened and in the end it turned out the be a good thing… in reality all it was was a – most important – moment of transition… an illusion.  I am sure you too have had many.
  6. Guided Exercise:  While you ponder the path walk the path.  View you life from the outside.  I like to envision myself walking on a soft grassy path with my mother (for she embodies the universe now) discussing life’s twists, turns, options, and choices.
